More About Claire
Ever since I can remember, I've been absolutely horse-obsessed. That obsession shaped me as I grew, and through the years I’ve had the privilege to be trained in various disciplines. I have experience ranging from hunter-jumpers, the graceful world of dressage, to the rugged charm of western riding.
I turned my passion into a profession back in 2014, dedicating myself to training and riding horses full-time. I developed my own training program at High Pointe Stables and used the knowledge I gained while working as a wrangler at Pine Cove to cater to each student I taught. During my time at Pine Cove from 2009 to 2016, I learned to adapt my teaching style to cater to different learning preferences, be it visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. Horses don't come in one-size-fits-all, and neither do people! I believe in mentorship-style training, focusing on keeping an open dialogue as we learn together.
Approaching the saddle with empathy and respect is my first priority. These creatures deserve nothing less than our utmost care. We're never done learning, and I'm always on the hunt for better ways to connect with our four-legged friends.
So, that's a little snapshot of me. Horse lover, rider, teacher, and advocate for the animals that have filled my life with joy for as long as I can remember.
